Drain-Cure methods
There are a number of ways in which we can relieve a
problem with a drain system, it depends really on the nature
of the complaint.
High Pressure Jetting
This is where we use our high powered water Jetting equipment to
clear blockage and obstructions.
Close Circuit Television Surveying (CCTV)
Very often when simple drain blockages and drainage problems occur,
after clearing and relieving the suspect drain we are asked to perform
CCTV (close circuit television) surveying on a section of pipe or
part of the drain system. In order for us to diagnose and subsequently
rectify a problem drain we need to establish what exactly is causing
the blockage and subsequent problems in our customer’s house
or property.
Using our high quality camera equipment, we can feed the camera
down the drain line mapping the length of the drain, noting branches
and other lines joining the drain and also identifying via monitor
the cause of the blocked or charged drain.
From the monitor, we record where necessary this information so
that our customer has video evidence of the problems occurring. This
is valuable information and is most often used in diagnosing drains
that block on a more regular basis. This information is also compiled
with a full site report, survey depths and our recommendations along
with a free quotation if desired.
If however, after jetting this
does not solve
the problem then further action is needed.
Sonar Drain Tracking
This is where we use sonar radar equipment in order to trace the
whereabouts of blockage along a drain line, this enables us to accurately
pinpoint and subsequent dig out the problem and reinstate the ground
as we found it.
Dye Testing & Investigation
Here we use a harmless specialist dye to established shared water,
drain systems and also in locating the source and subsequent movement
of a faulty drain.
Spot Excavation & Replacement
Here we dig down by hand or where necessary utilising a mini-digger
in order to locate and replace a damaged section of pipe and then
reinstating the ground.
Rooting out the problem
Once we have diagnosed what the problem is, and where the problem
is located via our camera and tracking equipment, we can then begin
the process of rectifying it by means of small excavations.
By digging
down to the relevant drain section, removing and then replacing
the damaged pipe we can then ensure that the drain is running clear
and
that no further blockages are apparent. Most of our excavations
are done by our technicians on-site and by hand, but where necessary
we arrange for a mini-excavator to help us out.
